• Total Marks: 100 (Theory: 80 + Internal Assessment: 20).
• Highest-Weightage Khand: पठितावबोधनम् (Pathit Avbodhan / Textual Comprehension) carries 30 of the 80 theory marks. • Khand-wise Theory Split: अपठितावबोधनम् / Unseen Comprehension (10), रचनात्मक कार्यम् / Composition — letter and picture description (15), अनुप्रयुक्त व्याकरणम् / Applied Grammar — sandhi, samas, pratyaya (25), पठितावबोधनम् / Textual Comprehension from Shemushi Part 2 (30). • Prescribed Textbooks: Shemushi Part 2 (10 chapters after rationalisation), Abhyasvan Bhav Part 2, and Vyakaran Vithi. • Internal Assessment (20 marks): Periodic tests and portfolio work. नमूना 1-अंक प्रश्न (MCQ): "विद्या + आलयः" इत्यस्य सन्धि-विच्छेदः कः?
Step-wise Marking Scheme:
• सही उत्तर (1 अंक): दीर्घ सन्धिः (आ + आ = आ)। • कारण: जब दो समान दीर्घ अथवा ह्रस्व स्वर परस्पर मिलते हैं, तब दीर्घ स्वर संधि होती है — यहाँ "आ" और "आ" मिलकर "आ" बनता है, अतः "विद्यालयः" शब्द बनता है। नमूना 5-अंक प्रश्न (दीर्घ उत्तरीय - पठितावबोधनम्): "सुभाषितानि" पाठस्य आधारेण किन्हींद्वयोः सुभाषितयोः भावार्थं स्वकीयशब्देषु लिखत।
Marking Allocation:
1. प्रथम सुभाषितस्य सम्यक् भावार्थ-लेखनम् (2-3 Marks). 2. द्वितीय सुभाषितस्य सम्यक् भावार्थ-लेखनम् (2-3 Marks). 3. भाषा-शुद्धता एवं स्वकीयशब्दानां प्रयोगः (शब्दशः पाठ्यपुस्तकानुकरणं न कृत्वा)। 📌 Evaluation Criteria followed by Board Examiners in Sanskrit:
• Grammar Precision: संधि, समास, and प्रत्यय questions are marked strictly against the exact grammatical rule and correctly split form — a correct final word with wrong classification earns only partial credit.
• Format Marks in Composition: पत्रलेखनम् (letter writing) and चित्रवर्णनम् (picture description) carry separate marks for correct format, content, and grammatical accuracy. • Own-Words Requirement: Literature-based long answers from Shemushi are marked higher when expressed in the student's own Sanskrit rather than copied verbatim from the textbook. |
