SECTION A

1. If the numbers n - 2, 4n - 1 and 5n + 2 are in A.P., then find the value of n :

6. A bag contains 3 red balls and 5 black balls. A ball is drawn at random from the bag.

What is the probability that the ball drawn is (i) red ?(ii) not red ?

7. Find two numbers whose sum is 27 and product is182.

8. Find the 31st term of an A.P. whose 11 th term is 38 and the16 th term is 73.

9. Draw a right triangle in which the sides (other than hypotenuse) are of lengths 4cm and 3cm. Then construct another triangle whose sides are 5/3 times the corresponding sides of the given triangle.

10 A chord of a circle of radius 10cm subtends a right angle at the centre. Find the area of the corresponding: [Use π =3.14]
