1 Find the number of integral value of x so that 22x2-7x +5=1.

2 The tops of two poles of height 18 m and 12 m are connected by a wire. If the wire makes an angle of 30° with the horizontal, find the length of the wire.

3 A die is thrown once. Find the probability of getting an odd prime number which is less than 3.

4 Find co-ordinates of any one point lying on the perpendicular bisector of line segment joining the points(-1/2,5) and (11/2,3)

5 If the 2nd term of an AP is 8 and the 5th term is 17, find its 19th term.

6 Solve : 2x2−5x+3=0

7 Draw a line segment AB=12 cm and divide it in the ration 3 : 5.

8 Draw a circle of radius 3.6 cm. Take a point P outside the circle and construct a pair of tangents to the circle from that point.

9 A peacock is sitting on the top of a tree. It observes a serpent on the ground making an angle of depression of 300. The peacock with the speed of 300 m/minute catches the serpent in 12 seconds.What is the height of the tree ?

10 A bag contains 1000 pens with different colours. 100 pens are taken out from the bag, out of which 20 were red, 35 were green, 15 were blue and remaining were black in colour. A pen is picked up from these 100 pens. What is the probability that is the pen is
(a) not red
(b) green

11 If the point (x, y) is equidistant from the points (a−b, a+b) and (−a−b, a+b), prove that x−a=0.

12 With the help of distance formula, show that the points A(4, 2), B(7, 5) and C(9, 7) do not form a triangle.A conical hole is drilled in a circular cylinder of height 15 cm and radius 8 cm, which has same height and same base radius. Find the total surface area, after drilling of cone. (Use π=3.14)

13 A 15 cm long test tube having diameter of 3.6 cm has water upto a height of 6 cm. 20 spherical drops of oil of radius 9 mm are dropped into it. What length of the test tube remains empty ?

14 If the sum of first p terms of an AP is q and the sum of first q terms is p, show that the sum of first (p+q) terms is −(p+q).

15 Find the sum of first 25 terms of an AP, in which the third term is 7 and seventh term is two more than  thrice of its third term.
