As a member of the Red Cross Society, I recently received training in First – Aid. A three days’ First – Aid Training Camp was organized by Loyola High School. It provided an excellent opportunity to the trainees to learn techniques to handle emergency situations requiring instant medical care and help. Experts from AIIMS and other reputed medical institutes delivered lectures on health care and provided useful tips to the participants.

The participants were well – instructed in ways of recognizing and treating the early symptoms of the diseases and ailments like heart attack, viral fever, burns, cuts, wounds, fractures, etc., before any medical help could reach the patient. The training comprised of practical sessions in artificial respiration, use of bandages, simple medication through common drugs and ointments. It was a valuable experience.

On the final day of the camp, M.S. Doshi, thanked all the trainers, volunteers and participants for their cooperations and enthusiasm in making the camp a big success.
