As a result the under privileged deprived to access these facilities which at times become a cause of unrest and disharmony in the society.

Answer : Santhals are the third largest tribe in India. They are mostly found in the states of West Bengal , Orissa , Jharkhand etc. They belong to pre- Aryan period . They had wagged war against the Permanent settlement Act enforced by Lord Cornwallis in 1855. The livelihood of the Santhals revolves around the forests they live in .They fulfil their needs from for- ests. They also cultivated silk worms. Santhals mainly celebrate the Kar- am festival, which falls in the month of September. They are one of the largest Scheduled Tribe communities in India. The Santhals mostly speak Santhali, an Austroasiatic language .
