Step-wise Marking Scheme:
• Correct Answer (1 Mark): Lothal. • Reasoning: Excavations at Lothal (Gujarat) revealed a large brick structure identified by archaeologists as a dockyard, pointing to its role in maritime trade. Sample 4-Mark Source-Based Question: Read the given extract from a Sufi text describing a saint's teachings on universal love, and answer: (i) What was the Sufi concept of "Sulh-i-kul"? (ii) How did Sufi orders differ in their approach to the state?
