ENGLISH

1) Write one page of English every alternate day, and when you’re back to school after the holidays your handwriting will be the envy of your classmates. We would love to see your cursive writing book when you come back.

2) Read Ch-3 and Ch-4 of Tom Sawyer.

3) Make your pocket dictionary. Write atleast 4 words with each alphabet. Also, learn the meaning of those words.

4) Paste 10 headlines from the newspaper on a chart. Make a table, categorizing the nouns as: Common noun, Proper noun, Abstract noun and Collective noun on the chart itself.

1) Choose any one state of India. Paste a cut out of the map of that state on half a chart. Make a collage and give information about the music, literature, food, costume and important places to visit in that particular state.

2) Locate a continent on the world map, name any 5 countries in that continent and find out their capitals. Also, write about the location, climate, vegetation, wildlife and life of the people of that continent. (to be done on A-4 sheets)

1) Learn and write multiplication tables 0 to 16 in Math Notebook.

2) Solve the following in Math notebook [Math Sight Book]: Exercise 2.5 Q1 (e); Q2 (c, d); Q3 (b, e); Q4 (b); Exercise 2.6 Q1 to Q8

3) Solve the following in Me ‘n’ Mine Mental Math book: Pg 12, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 21, 22, 56, 57

4) Project on Roman Numerals: Prepare a Power Point Presentation [with 8-12 slides] on Roman Numerals. Save it on a CD, properly labeled with your name, class, subject and topic. Presentation should include name of the topic, introduction of Roman Numerals,symbols with their values and explanation with different examples.

1) Draw, colour and label the logo of all the software (e.g. MS Word, MS Paint, )nternet explorer, Window media player, etc.installed in your computer/laptop in your computer notebook.
