PLANES

1. A hexagonal lamina of edge 30mm rests on HP on one of its edges. Its plane is parallel to VP and 40 mm away from it. Draw its orthographic projections.

2. A pentagonal lamina of edge 40 mm is parallel to HP and 50 mm above it. One of its edges is parallel and nearer to VP. This parallel edge is 25 mm away from VP. Draw its orthographic projections.

3. A triangular lamina of edge 40 mm is resting on VP on one of its edges. Its plane makes an angle 30° to VP. The corner nearer to HP is 30 mm away from it. Draw its orthographic projections.

4. A rectangular lamina of size 30x60 rests on HP on one of its smaller edges. Its plane makes an angle of 45° to HP. Draw its orthographic projections.

5. A square lamina ABCD of 30 mm rests on its corner C in HP. Its plane is inclined at 45° to XY line such that its diagonal DB is parallel to HP and inclined at 30° to VP. Draw its projection when its corner D is towards VP and 15 mm in front of it.

6. A square lamina PQRS of side 40 mm rests on ground on its corner P in such a way that the diagonal PR is inclined at 45° to HP and apparently inclined at 30° to VP. Draw its projections.

7. A square lamina PQRS of side 40 mm rests on ground on its corner P in such a way that the diagonal PR is inclined at 45° to HP and 30° to VP. Draw its projections. Take apparent angle here.

8. A rectangular lamina of dimension 60x30 is inclined in such a way that it appears as a square in the top view. It is resting on HP on one of its shorter edges and this edge is inclined at 30° to VP. Draw the projection of the lamina and find its inclination with HP.

9. A regular hexagonal lamina of side 32mm has a side in both HP and VP while the lamina takes an angle 40° with VP. Draw the projections of the lamina.

10. A circular plate of 60 mm diameter has its diameter AB is parallel to and 50 mm above HP and it is inclined at 45° to VP. Draw the projections of the plate when its plane is inclined at 50° to the HP.

11. An isosceles triangular plate of 50 mm base side and 75 mm altitude appears as an equilateral triangle of 50 mm side in the top view. Draw the projections of the plate if its 50 mm long edge is on the HP and inclined at 45° to the VP.

12. Draw the projections of a rhombus having diagonals 96 mm and 48 mm long, the smaller diagonal of which is parallel to both the principal planes, while the other is inclined at 30°to the HP. One corner of the rhombus is in the HP and the centre is 56 mm in front of the VP.

13. A 60° set square of 100mm longest side is so kept that the longest side is in the HP, making an angle of 30° with the VP and the set square itself inclined at 45° to the HP. Draw the projections of the set square.

14. An equilateral triangle of side 35 mm has an edge on the HP and inclined at 50° to the VP. Its plane makes an angle of 30° with the HP. Draw its projections.

15. A hexagonal plane with 25 mm side has one of its sides on the HP and that side is inclined at 60° to VP. Draw its projections if this plane is also inclined to HP at 45°.

16. A circular plate of negligible thickness and 50 mm diameter appears as an ellipse in the front view having its major axis 50 mm long and minor axis 30 mm long. Draw its top view when the major axis of the ellipse is horizontal.

17. A thin rectangular plate of side 60 mm x 30 mm has its shorter side in the VP and inclined at 30° to the HP. Project its top view if its front view is a square of 30 mm long sides.

18. A regular hexagon of 40 mm side has a corner in the HP. Its surface is inclined at 45 to the HP and the top view of the diagonal through the corner which is in the HP makes an angle of 60° with the VP. Draw its projections.

19. Draw the projections of a regular pentagon of 40 mm side having its surface inclined at 30° to the HP and a side parallel to the HP and inclined at angle of 60° to the VP.

20. A plate having shape of an isosceles triangle has base 50 mm long and altitude 70 mm. It is so placed that in the front view it is seen as an equilateral triangle of 50 mm sides and one side is inclined at 45° to XY. Draw its orthographic projections.

21. A semi-circular plate of 80 mm diameter has its straight edge in the VP and inclined at 45° to the HP. The surface of the plate makes an angle of 30° with the VP. Draw its projections.
