Everyday, Kali had to cross a big forest to go to school. One day she heard loud footsteps. Suddenly she saw a huge bear. Before she could hide anywhere, the bear saw her. He was really hungry and was looking for food. He was happy to see her. The bear took hold of her and said, ‘Hey you! You are so tiny. Anyway, you have come just in time. I am hungry.’ Kali was a very brave and intelligent girl. She said, ‘I may be tiny.
But I am as strong and smart as you.’
The bear roared with laughter, ‘That’s the funniest thing I have ever heard.’ Saying this he was about to put Kali into his mouth. ‘Wait!’ shouted Kali, the bear angrily asked, ‘What now?’ Kali teased the bear by saying that he was a fool.
