CBSE does not prescribe a fixed chapter-wise split within each unit. • Internal Assessment (20 marks): Periodic tests (10) and mathematics activities/lab work (10). • Question Mix: MCQs, Very Short Answer, Short Answer, Long Answer, and case-based questions, most with internal choices. Sample 1-Mark Question (MCQ): If A = {1, 2, 3} and B = {3, 4}, what is n(A ∪ B)? Step-wise Marking Scheme: • Correct Answer (1 Mark): 4. • Reasoning: A ∪ B = {1, 2, 3, 4}, so n(A ∪ B) = 4.
