SECTION – A

1. If A={ x : x Є R , -4 < x ≤ 6 } and B={ x : x Є R , 0 ≤ x < 7 }, find A U B in the interval form.

If A = {1,2,5} , B = {1,2,3,4} , C = {5,6,2} , then verify that:
(A –B) X C = (A X C) – (BXC)
 
12. Find the domain and range of the function f(x) =√16-x2
 
13. Draw the graph of the function f(x) =[x] for all x Є R ,where [x] is greatest integer function.
 
14. Find the general solution of 2 cos2x + 3sinx = 0.
 
15. Prove by the principle of mathematical induction that 32n+2 – 8n – 9 is divisible by 9 for all nЄ N.
