1. पाठ से

(क) सलमा का पहला कदम बीमारी में ही क्यों बढ़ा था?

उत्तर

सलमा भोपाल गैस रिसाव का शिकार हो गयी थी जिससे उसके अंदर अनेक तरह की बीमारियाँ हो गयी थीं। जब से उसने होश संभाला तब से बीमारी  साथ चल रही थी। उसी बीमारी के दैरान वह धीरे-धीरे बड़ी हुई और उसने चलना सीखा। इस तरह सलमा का पहला कदम बीमारी में ही बढ़ा था।
 
(ख) सलमा अपनी अम्माँ से क्या कहती थी जिससे उसकी अम्माँ उसे मार देती थी?
 
उत्तर
 
सलमा के अब्बू का निधन हो गया था इससे उसकी अम्मी को गहरा आघात लगा था, वे हमेशा विक्षिप्त रहती थीं। जब सलमा कहती कि अब्बू मर चुके हैं वे नहीं आएँगे तो उसकी अम्मा उसे मारती और कहती ऐसी बातें नहीं कहते।
 
(ग) सलमा ने ऐसा क्यों कहा कि मैं तो अब जीना चाहती हूँ?


 

उत्तर
 
सलमा ने ऐसा इसलिए कहा क्योंकि वह अब आयुर्वेदिक दवाएँ खा रही थी और ठीक हो रही थी। उसे लगने लगा कि वह अब ठीक हो सकती है। वह खुश रहती है इसलिए जीना चाहती है।
 
3. देखभाल
 
"हम उनसे कहते कि जब हम बड़े हो जाएँगे तो उनकी देखभाल करेंगे।" इस वाक्य को पढ़ो और बताओ कि– 
 
(क) कौन किसकी देखभाल करना चाहता/चाहती है?
- सलमा अपनी अम्मा की देखभाल करना चाहती है।
 
(ख) वह बड़ा/बड़ी होकर ही देखभाल करना क्यों चाहता/चाहती है?
- वह गैस त्रासदी से पीड़ित है। उसका पूरा शरीर रोगी है। इस हालत में वह अपनी अम्मी की देखभाल नहीं कर सकती। इसलिए वह बड़ी होकर उनकी देखभाल कर चाहती है।
 
(ग) क्या वह छोटे होने पर देखभाल नहीं कर सकता/सकती है?
- वह छोटे होने पर भी देखभाल नहीं कर सकती है। क्योंकि जब यह दुर्घटना हुई तब वह बहुत ही छोटी थी तभी से वह बीमार चल रही है।
 
(घ) अगर वह छोटे होने पर भी देखभाल करेगा/करेगी तो क्या हो सकता है?
- अगर वह छोटे होने पर देखभाल करेगी तो वह न तो खुद को सम्भाल पाएगी और न ही अपनी अम्मी की देखभाल कर सकेगी। उसके शरीर में इतनी ताकत नहीं है।
 
8. शब्द प्रयोग 
 
"मेरा गला और आँखें सूज जाती हैं, मेरा चेहरा सूजन की वजह से बड़ा रहता है।" ऊपर के वाक्य में सूज और सूजन शब्द का प्रयोग सार्थक ढंग से हुआ है। इसके साथ सूजना शब्द का प्रयोग भी किया जा सकता है। तुम भी अपने ढंग से कुछ ऐसे शब्दों की सूची बनाओ जिनके रूप में थोड़ा-बहुत अतंर हो तभी सार्थक ढंग से उसका प्रयोग किया जा सकता है; जैसे –टूट, टूटना, टूटन आदि।
