उत्तर

गुड़ियों के संग्रह में केशव शंकर पिल्लै को कई कठिनाइयों का सामना करना पड़ा। एक तो गुड़ियाँ मंहगी थीं। उसे एक स्थान से दूसरे स्थान तक ले जाने में उसके खराब होने का डर था और फिर संग्रह
करने के लिए जगह जहाँ उन्हें सुरक्षित रखा जा सके उसे ढूँढ़ना भी मुश्किल हो रहा था।
 
(ख) वे बाल चित्रकला प्रतियोगता क्यों करना चाहते थे?
 
उत्तर
 
बाल चित्रकला प्रतियोगता करवाकर वे उनकी भलाई करना चाहते थे। इसके द्वारा बच्चों को अपनी प्रतिभा दिखाने के  विश्वव्यापी मंच मिलता था तथा देश-विदेश के बच्चों को एक-दूसरे से मिलने का मौका मिलता था। 
 
(ग) केशव शंकर पिल्लै ने बच्चों के लिए विश्वभर की चुनी हुई गुड़ियों का संग्रह क्यों किया?
 
उत्तर
 
केशव शंकर पिल्लै ने गुड़ियों का संग्रह भारतीय बच्चों के लिए किया ताकि जो बच्चे विदेशी गुड़ियाँ नहीं देख या खरीद सकते, वे उन्हें यहाँ देख लें। इसके साथ ही देश विदेश की जानकारी उन्हें मिल सके।
 
(घ) केशव शंकर पिल्लै हर वर्ष छुट्टियों में कैंप लगाकर सारे भारत के बच्चों को एक जगह मिलने का अवसर देकर क्या करना चाहते थे?


उत्तर

अपने कैंप के माध्यम से वह पुरे देश के बच्चों को एक जगह मिलने का मौका देना चाहते थे ताकि वे एक-दूसरे को जान सके चूँकि उस समय टी.वी या इंटरनेट नही था। 


5. लड़ाई भी खेल जैसी 
 
"अनेक देशों के बच्चों की यह फ़ौज अलग-अलग भाषा, वेशभूषा में होकर भी एक जैसी ही है। कई देशों के बच्चों को इकट्ठा कर दो, वे खेलेंगे या लड़ेंगे और यह लड़ाई भी खेल जैसी ही होगी। वे रंग, भाषा या जाति पर कभी नहीं लड़ेंगे।"

उत्तर
(क) यह 1950 के 'शंकर्स वीकली' के बाल विशेषांक में श्री जवाहर लाल नेहरू ने लिखा था। शंकर पिल्लै का विचार था कि बच्चों के हित के लिए बाल चित्रकला प्रतियोगिता रखी जाए जिससे देश विदेश के बच्चे आपस में मिले। यह विचार नेहरू जी को पसंद आया तभी उन्होंने ऐसा लिखा। 

(ख) लड़ाई भी खेल हो सकती है, जिसे हम प्रतियोगिता का नाम देते हैं। इसमें कोई भी प्रतियोगिता हो सकती है। इस प्रकार के खेल या प्रतियोगिता में एक दूसरे से बेहतरीन प्रदर्शन करना ही मुख्य होता है।
