Lesson:1
Army of my country
I am an Indian. And India is my country. I love my country very much. We are the people who love peace. We are in favour of love and peace with the neighboring countries. We do not like war with the neighbors. But we have a strong army to defend our nation. In the Military of our country, we have strong men among them:- The Air Force ,The Naval Force, The Artillery and The Cavalry are all among them. All of these love the nation. Our strong army and the fellow citizens are well prepared to defend our nation courageously and fearlessly. India is a Democratic nation. There are different religions:- There are Muslims, Hindus , Jains , Sikhs, Buddhists etc, and they live in love and peace . And we always stand side – by – side to defend our nation from evils and enemies. I would like to be a soldier in the army of my nation.
Lesson :2
Post Office
This is an office. This is a post office. The post office is near my house. The post office is opened and the post man is there from morning till evening. The post master is also present. The post man is a government staff, and the post master too is a government staff. The post master is sitting in his office. The post man is a known and honoured person in cities and villages. The post master: What are you doing now Oh Postman? The post man: I am sorting the post and putting in my bag. The post master: Are you going out after an hour to distribute the post? The post man: Yes sir, I am going out to distribute the post after an hour or 1 ½
hours.
The post master: For whom is this big parcel?
The post man: This big parcel is for your friend Mr.Krishan.
The post master: Mr.Krishan is coming after an hour to meet me.
The post man: This registered letter is to Mr.Jameel.
The post master: Who is Mr.Jameel?
The post man: He is the principal of Rajaram College.
The post master: Well, I am happy with your wast knowledge about the owners of the post and their addresses.
The post man: Thank you sir, I am also happy.
Lesson-3
Public bus station.
This is a station. This is a big station. This is a public bus station. That is a public
vehicle. That public vehicle is big.
This is a window. This is a ticket window. That is a woman. That woman is standing in line in front of a ticket window. This line is long. That is a man . That man is a driver. This man drives public vehicles.. These men are standing , waiting to travel the public vehicles. These women are also waiting to travel in public vehicles. That is a youngster. That youngster is carrying the luggage of the passengers for wage.
Those women and men are also waiting to travel in public vehicles. There are number of public buses. Every one is traveling in the public vehicle to go to his destination. There are workers in the station. Among them are drivers, conductors, the typists on type writers and computer and other works like cleaning the station and office , station security and assisting staff for the passengers.
Lesson -4
Railway Station
This is a station – this is a train – That is a passenger – That is a locomotive – these are trains- Those are stations - those are passengers. These are locomotives. These are the people came to send off others.( المودعون ) those are the receiversthese
are the porters – those are travelers.
Railway stations are plenty in India. In villages it is small. And in cities it is big. It is crowded with passengers and with those who come to send off (the people) - And the receivers day and night. There are offices for the staff. There is waiting room. This is information office. Those are windows for ticket booking and sale. The passengers are waiting in lines to buy tickets. The ticket is a small card in thick paper on which the fair of the ticket , name of departing station and arrival , date of travel, its class and train number etc are printed.
These are the porters. They are waiting for the passengers. And they carry their luggage on their heads to the train. Some passengers are boarded and some are waiting for their train. Some people are standing near the restaurants on the platform ,eating snacks, drinking tea and coffee and cool drinks.
