Ans: a) The poet took the other road; meaning the road that was not taken by most of the travellers.
b) The poet took the road less travelled by – which is the other road, because it looked equally attractive, and it ‘looked grassy and needed people to walk on it so it would look as worn out or travelled on as the one that he did not choose to go on.
3. And both—————–come back.
Q. a. How did both the roads look like that morning?
Q. b. Explain: “Oh I kept the first for another day!”
Q. c. What does the poet mean when the says “Way leads on to way”?

Ans: a) Both the roads were equally covered by leaves indicating that they had not be trampled or walked over by anyone that morning.
b) The poet decided that he would walk on the first road some other day.
c) The poet says that one road leads to another and so as one goes ahead and further ahead
d) After making his choice of going on the second road, the poet feels he may not be able to retrace his steps and walk on the first road.
Answer the following question in about 30-40 words:
Q. 1. Which road would you choose ? Why ?
Answer: I will chose the less travelled road because I want to judge myself test myself and check my capability. I like adventure and would want to explore new facts. I am always enthusiastic for venturing into something absolutely new, uncommon and unknown to the rest of the world.
Q. 2. The poet says “I took the one less travelled by, And that has made all the difference.” What is ‘the difference’ that the poet mentions ?
Answer: When the poet came to the cross roads, he had a choice. He could take the road travelled by many or he could take the road less travelled. He decided to take the road less travelled knowing fully well that once the choice was made, it was permanent and there was no turning back. That 'choice' he had made, according to him, has changed his life. It may have brought him success, happiness and fulfillment. The choice that he made at that time affected his future. That choice made all the difference to his life.
