I. Read the passage carefully and based on the understanding of the passage, answer the questions that follow :

Sher Singh was a little country boy who lived in a hut made of logs and mud, wore torn clothes and took his father’s goats and two cows to graze in the fields. Sher Singh’s house was close to a railway track and the trains fascinated him as they flashed by.

One day, he saw some boulders lying on the rails. They must have fallen from the steep hillside. The next train would be in danger. It could be thrown off the tracks and the passengers would be killed. The stones were too
big and heavy for him to move them. Quickly he pulled off his turban, tied to a stick and made a flag out of it. Then he stood in the middle of the track and waved it.

The driver seeing the boy, hooted – the boy did not move. The engine whistled more loudly – he still did not move. The driver had to stop the train. Angrily, he jumped down and ran towards the boy.
