They should not develop cultural values that consider 'thin' as perfect bodies. They should be told about the side effects of malnourishment and the life threatening nature of anorexia.
Management of Anorexia can be accomplished by:
(i) Facing Reality This is essential, as the affected person must admit that she has a problem of Anorexia and the relentless pursuit of thinness is out of her control.
(ii) Restoring Healthy Weight An affected person cannot recover from Anorexia without restoring appropriate body weight. A psychologist can play an effective role in helping the person to return to a healthy weight. A dietician can provide adequate and proper guidance for a healthy diet for full recovery.

Answer: There are three types of spinal curvature:
(i) Lordosis It is the inward curvature of the spine or a deformity of spinal curvature. It is an increased forward curve in the lumbar region. It creates problems in standing and walking.
(ii) Kyphosis It is a deformity of the spinal curvature in which there is an increase of exaggeration of a backward curve or a decrease of a forward curve. It is also called round upper back.
(iii) Scoliosis It is a postural deformity of spinal curvature in which there is one large lateral curve extending through the whole length of the spine, or there may be two curves. This type of deformity is also called curve.

Answer: Round shoulders is a postural deformity in which the shoulders become round as they are drawn forward, the head is extended and the chin points forward. The corrective measures are:
• Stand in correct posture.

• Perform Chakrasana and Dhanurasana for some time.
• Hold the horizontal bar for some time.

Corrective measures for this deformity are:
(i) Walk on heels and toes.
(ii) Pick up marbles with toes.
(iii) Slowly write the alphabet using marbles.
(iv) Perform Vajrasan regularly.
(iv) Walk on wooden staircase.
Knock Knees is a postural deformity in which both the knees touch or overlap each other in the normal standing position. Due to this deformity, an individual usually faces difficulty during walking.
Corrective measures for this deformity are:
(i) Horse riding is to be done regularly.
(ii) Perform Padmasana and Gomukhasana regularly.
(iii) Keep a pillow between the knees whenever possible.
(iv) Be careful while you walk and stand.
(iv) Take nutritious meals.
