Science and technology is one branch which attracts students from every part of India. There is a huge demand of courses in science stream at graduation level. There are elite institutes like Indian Institutes of Technology to carter to that demand. There is great career and job prospective available in this field, that too in both government as well as private sector. Not only that! Some of great institutes have produced such bright science graduates that they are easily taken on jobs in foreign and multinational firms. The research and development sector in India is about to get a great boom so does the science and technology stream as both of them are interconnected to each other. Graduation course in Science stream after 10+2

 

Engineering - There are various streams under engineering itself, the jobs prospective is very wide in its field. Some of engineering branches are - electrical, mechanical, computers, information technology, civil etc. This course is mostly 4 years long.

 

MBBS- To become a doctor, you need to complete MBBS course; this is specifically for the students from biology background. Specialisation comes after the completion of MBBS. This course is 5 years and 6 months long along with internship. If you want to have a successful career that you must also complete PG.

 

BDS- Pursuing BDS will make you a dentist.  This course is about 5 years long. But the stream is saturated due to great number of private colleges.

 

BAMS- Pursuing BAMS will lead you to become an Ayurveda doctor; there is huge job and career prospective in this field. The course is about 5 years long.

 B Pharmacy- If you want to be a chemist and want to own your own chemist shop then the B Pharmacy course is for you. This course is around 4 years long. You can also join a pharmaceutical company. Pharmacy sector in India is at boom so is the pharmacy jobs. To get better opportunities the students can always pursue M. Pharmacy.

 

Pharmacy D- D Pharmacy is very different from B-Pharmacy. This course is somewhat combination of B.pharma and M.pharma. The course is 6 years long and opens up you job opportunities abroad.

 

BSc or Bachelor of Science – this is a regular graduation course where you can choose from the subjects like science, maths, computer science, biotechnology physics etc. after completing the post graduation program from same stream you can go for research or teaching jobs in the subject.

 

ARMED FORCES – Science stream can help you to join Indian Army also. Although there is an age limit of 19 years to appear for NDA (National Defence Academy) exam but if you are successful in clearing NDA exam and SSB interview then you will get admission in NDA, Pune. You have to pursue B.Sc course along with military training and studies. After 3 years in National Defence Academy and one year at Indian Military Academy you can have a job in Indian Armed forces as an officer.

 As the other option available in the science stream is of going for Diploma courses. If in case you fail to get admission in engineering, you can take admission in diploma engineering. After completion of diploma engineering you can pursue a degree course. After your diploma engineering you just need to attend the engineering college for only 2 years and after that you are awarded an engineering degree
