Bachelor of Pharmacy in India

A Bachelor of Pharmacy (Abbreviated Pharm) is an undergraduate academic degree in the specialised field of Pharmacy. It is a 4 year program with annual/semester options available. The eligibility for an aspirant to qualify for this course is that he / she must have cleared Higher Secondary with at least a minimum of 50% aggregate with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology OR biotechnology as one of the core subjects. In some states/ institutions apart from the above, it is mandatory to clear the relevant entrance examinations as well. The colleges/ institutions imparting this education stream must be approved by AICTE or the Pharmacy Council of India.

This course curriculum provides valuable knowledge of healthcare and biomedical science. Aspirants are expected to conduct experiments as a part of their course apart from the theoretical study. Upon graduation, apart from pursuing various options, one can practise the profession of a pharmacist.
