Bachelor of Science Graduation Stream in India

Bachelor of Science popularly abbreviated as B.Sc is one of the most popular undergraduate courses in India. This course has become more or less common in all the colleges/ universities in India due to advancements in the field of science and technology. In this stream, the candidates are taught to acquire higher level of understanding of the subject using scientific analysis and experimentation/ application of the various principles to solve issues.

Eligibility:

The basic eligibility to opt for this undergraduate program is that the candidate needs to have cleared the Higher secondary examinations with the mandatory subjects Physics, Chemistry and the third subject being Mathematics or Biology or both ( Although some Educational Institutions/ Open Universities do away with this requirement in order to boost the education level among the masses ). The program is for a period of three years and the admission procedure varies. The candidate’s previous academic background is considered for admission. A specialized stream also exists known as B.Sc ( Hons ) which can be called as the “ elite” of the B.Sc courses. It follows the same academic year pattern like a general B.Sc  but there the similarity ends. Technically, admission to this honours course is more tougher than a normal B.Sc course. This course also differs in that aspect as in it aids in developing advanced theoretical and research skills in the candidates. This program also facilitates the students to pursue an independent research project in their area of interest under academic supervision.
