Fashion Style and Imaging design is skills based course, where one has the opportunity to explore ideas both two and three dimensionally using a broad variety of techniques and approaches in challenging assignments. A course like this has excellent links in the industry which has a huge advantage because the course curriculum is designed keeping the needs of the industry in mind.  Candidates/ aspirants get to know about  - Design, Pattern and production etc. They also get to explore their drawing and design skills. With IT playing the king in design, candidates get into a deep dive understanding of computer aided design and development. Candidates also get to explore tailoring and cutting techniques.

Keeping in mind the imaging design aspect as well, candidates get exposure to styling and photography. They also get to understand about the origins of modern design, visual and popular culture and how culture plays a very important role in fashion design and imaging. Candidates also are imparted on the usage of imaging as a visual communication tool. A correct mixture of the above two paradigms result in the candidate getting a thorough understanding of both aspects.

Upon graduation, candidates enter the fashion industry fully prepared in the design/ imaging verticals of fashion/ designer houses/brands. They either choose to become designer, imaging specialist, production specialists etc. While some do pursue a Masters in fashion design most of them choose to get into a job.

This programme is for a duration of 4 years and a candidate is eligible for admission/ application once he/she clears HSC with minimum 50% aggregate. With increasing competition, to get the best of the aspirants, institutions have their own screening and entrance examinations as well.
