              SECTION A: READING

1.Read the following passage and answer the questions:

The leopard is a small animal compared to the Lion and the Tiger but many people think that it is the most dangerous of the big cats. For its weight, the leopard is one of the strongest of the cats. It is an excellent climber and can run up a tree with astonishing speed. It can even climb a tree while carrying a prey twice its own weight. It can leap up more than three metres in the air and jump down on its prey from a height of fifteen metres. The leopard‟s skin of greyish gold with dark spots or rings provides excellent camouflage among the branches of a tree. Although the leopard may be seen during the day, it is most active at night.
