PASSAGE:-
This is not to say that the Nakarattar banking systems resembles the Western Banking system. They loan and deposit mone} with one another in caste-defined social relationships: based on business territory, residential location, descent, marriage and common cult membership. Unlike in modem western banking systems, it is the reputation, decisions, and reserved deposit shared among exchange spheres defined according to principles. In other words the Nakarattar banking system is a caste-based banking system, and they organize their lives around participation and management of various communal institutions adapted to the task of accumulating and distributing reserves of capital.
