Original Imaginative Composition in Colour
(Three hours)
Before starting work, take note of the following instructions:
1. You must, on no account, base your composition on any picture you have seen.
2. Except for the question number and your Index Number, you must not write anything on the front of the picture; however, you may write anything you wish to explain about your subject at the back.
3. Your picture should fill, or approximately fill, your sheet of paper.
The intended marks for questions or parts of questions are given in brackets [ ].
Attempt any one of the following topics:
1. Election Scene: People from the nearby colony gathered together to listen to a political leader.
2. Dussehra Fair (Mela): People assembled at the fair grounds are enjoying the burning of the effigy of Ravan.
3. Visit to a Zoo: Children are enjoying watching the animals and birds in a Zoo.
4. Make a composition based on the following lines by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow:
Beside the ungathered rice he lay,
His sickle in his hand;
His breast was bare, his matted hair
Was buried in the sand.
