CBSE Syllabus of Tibetan Language for IX, X, XI _ XII 2008-09. Based on CBSE and CCE guidelines issued by CBSE board. The syllabus and the modifications to the syllabus is issued by CBSE every year. Usually the revised syllabus is issued at the end of the year but sometimes syllabus modifications can be issued in the middle of an year. Students should download and print the syllabus and refer to it regularly to ensure that their examination preparation is as per the syllabus issued by CBSE.

CLASS IX

One Paper 3 Hours Marks: 100

Section A Marks 60 Suggested periods

1. Applied Grammar: 20 30

(i) Pronunciation of letter and their phonetic change in words

(ii) Formation & Morphology of words

(iii) Parts of speech and their change with particles including preposition and post particles

(iv) Construction of simple sentence

Suggested References:

Section B

Comprehension of an unseen prose passage based on some 10 25

Descriptive topic e.g. Game, Social events, and Family Environment

OR

Translation of an unseen passage from English into Tibetan

Section C

Composition & Writing: 10 15

a) Letter Writing:

i) To and from friends and relatives on domestic topics

ii) Application for leave, fee concession and aid for poor fund etc.
