CBSE Change of Syllabus in German Language for IX _ XI for 2008-09 X _ XII 2009-10. Based on CBSE and CCE guidelines issued by CBSE board. The syllabus and the modifications to the syllabus is issued by CBSE every year. Usually the revised syllabus is issued at the end of the year but sometimes syllabus modifications can be issued in the middle of an year. Students should download and print the syllabus and refer to it regularly to ensure that their examination preparation is as per the syllabus issued by CBSE.

Class IX

i) Additions:

a) TANGRAM (DEUTSCH ALS FREMDSPRACHE), ROSA-MARIA DALLAPIAZZA et.al (MAX HUEBER VERLAG) Book A1/1-LESSONS: 1 to 4 & BOOK A1/2-LESSONS 5 & 6.

b) Suggested references: Moment Mal I (Christian Lemke et.al) LANGENSCHE. DT 1998

ii) Deletions:

a)Lernziel Deutsch (Deutschals als Fremdsprache) Bank I by Wolfgang ieber (Published by Max Hueber Verlag, Muenchen, Germany 1993 edition available in India from German Book Centre, Chennai)

(Lessons 1-9) or

Deutsche Spreachlehre filir Auslaender Dora Schulz and Heinz Griesbach (Grundstufe in einem Band) (Lessons 1-9)

Class XI

i) Additions:

a) TANGRAM (DEUTSCH ALS FREMDSPRACHE), (MAX HUEBER VERLAG) BookA22 Lessons 5-8 & Book B1/1, Lessons 1&2

b) Suggested references: Moment Mal I (Christian Lemke et.al) LANGENSCHE. DT 1998

ii) Deletions:

a) Deutsche Spreachlehre filir Auslaender Dora Schulz and Heinz Griesbach (Grundstufe in einem Band) (Lessons 17-21)

iii) The number of words prescribed for Composition in Section C is increased from 100-120 words to 150-200 words.
