Background/rationale:
Lepcha language is spoken in Sikkim, Darjeeling, Kalimpong district of west Bengal, in Ilam district in Nepal, and a few villages of Samtsi district in Southwest Bhutan. Today the Lepcha people constitute a minority of the population of modern Sikkim. In Sikkim, Lepcha is one of the eleven official languages, Lepcha is taught at the primary school level up to University, and the Ph.D. course has already started. There is a textbook section in the education department Government of Sikkim that has developed official learning materials, there is a Lepcha edition of a government newspaper, Sikkim Herald and the government radio station broadcast news bulletins and cultural programs in the Lepcha languages. Learning objectives:

To Apply language appropriately using the correct structure of grammar and accurate and fluency
