15 July 20XX
The Commissioner,
Municipal Corporation of Delhi,
New Delhi
Subject: Poor handling of monsoon problems in the city
Sir,
I am a resident of Lajpat Nagar and want to express my deep dissatisfaction with the way the Corporation handles the city's problems in the monsoon. Every year, the drains are not cleaned in time, so the roads are flooded after even a short spell of rain. Traffic is jammed for hours, water enters houses and shops, and the stagnant water breeds mosquitoes and causes dengue and malaria. Garbage is also not lifted for days.
I request you to have the drains cleaned before the rains, pump out the water, spray anti-mosquito medicine and lift the garbage at once. I hope you will take quick action.
Yours faithfully,
Rajat
