ختم ہُوا دِن، سورج ڈُوبا
شام ہوئی اور اُبھرے تارے
جگمگ جگمگ کرتے تارے
نُور کے ٹکڑے پیارے پیارے
دُور کہیں سے ٹھنڈے ٹھنڈے
تیز ہوا کے جھونکے آئے

کاندھوں پر اپنے وہ اُٹھا کر
چھوٹے چھوٹے بادل لائے

نُور مسّرت کا تاروں سے
کوئی چُھپا اور کوئی نکلا
بادل کے اِن اَنباروں سے
کھیل رہے ہوں جیسے بچّے
آنکھ مچولی گلی گلی میں
یا شبنم کے قطرے چمکیں
اوجھل ہو کر گلی گلی میں

الف) یہ نظم تلوک چند محروم کی ہے؛ اس میں شام کے وقت تاروں اور بادلوں کا منظر بیان ہوا ہے۔
ب) نظم میں تاروں اور بادلوں کے کھیل کو بچّوں کی 'آنکھ مچولی' سے ملایا گیا ہے۔
ج) 'جگمگ جگمگ'، 'پیارے پیارے' اور 'ٹھنڈے ٹھنڈے' جیسے دہرائے گئے لفظ نظم میں ترنّم پیدا کرتے ہیں۔
