1. In pairs discuss the following questions:

(a) When do you generally use a mirror?

(b) Is a mirror essential for us?

(c) Given below is a list of possible reasons why a person uses a mirror. Tick the ones you agree with:

   (i) to check one's appearance

2. The teacher will now play a recording of the poem. Listen carefully and answer the questions that follow:

I am silver and exact. I have no preconceptions.

Whatever I see I swallow immediately

Just as it is, unmisted by love or dislike

I am not cruel, only truthful -

5. The eye of a little god, four-cornered.

Most of the time meditate on the opposite wall.

It is pink with speckles. I have looked at it so long

I think it is a part of my heart. But it flickers.

Faces and darkness separate us over and over.
