What are the Possible Options for Students After 10th?

So if you are one of the students who has just given their 10th class exam and confused about what to pursue next in your life then you have come to a right place. Today in this article we will be talking about some of the courses which students can pursue after their 10th class exam. Mostly students get confused after their 10th on what to choose and what to leave.

Many students just take courses for random and in later life they have to regret on what they have done. So first of all you should know about your interest. In India, the students have many career options to choose from. Here is the list of following courses which students can opt from:

  3. Commerce


Arts stream is one of the vast streams to opt for. It includes many subjects like English, History, Political Science, Geography, Psychology, Sanskrit and Sociology. It anyone wants to pursue his/her career in Mass Media, Journalism, Literature, Languages, Social service, Human Psychology, History, Political science, Anthropology and many more then this course is perfect for you.

In science there is not much flexibility but yes the fields that you choose through science subjects are worth doing. It mainly offers two courses one is medical and other one is non-medical. If anyone wants to do MBBS or if anyone has interest in medical field then he/she can opt for medical subjects.

If you want to pursue your career in engineering then you can easily choose non-medical. These two subjects are considered the toughest of all courses. The common subjects for these two courses i.e. medical and non- medical are Physics, Chemistry and English.


If anyone has interest in business and accountancy then the commerce is the best option for you people. Business studies and accountancy are the two main subjects which every student has to study in commerce.

Vocational Courses

Vocational courses include the courses such as Interior designing, Cyber Laws, Jewellery Designing, Fashion Designing and many more.

Polytechnic Courses

Polytechnic courses are the most interesting courses. The students having polytechnic diploma degree can get direct admission into second year of technical degree through entrance exam. The subjects in the polytechnic course are almost same as technical courses.

So, these were the main and additional courses which students can opt after doing their 10th examination. One should wisely choose the courses because it will decide the student’s overall career.
