How CBSE Has Prevented Paper Leaks in Board Examination

Last month the CBSE board exam has come to an end. This time there are no issues of any paper leakage found.

Last year Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had suffered a problem of paper leakage. Due to this, the Economics exam for class 12 was held again.

Because of that last year incident happened, CBSE took multiple steps and actions towards the safety of question papers.

CBSE reintroduced multiple sets, started system of 30% new questions

This year CBSE has again introduced the multiple sets of question papers and also took extra steps and precautions to stop the leakage of paper.

As per the CBSE norms, CBSE has been introduced multiple sets of questions papers and also included 30% new questions in the exams.

Introduced QR codes on papers, encrypted papers ready for backup

To avoid the leakage of question papers, CBSE introduced the QR codes and used encrypted technology to track the question papers.

As per the CBSE norms, if this incident happens again, the board has encrypted papers for a backup option. And these encrypted papers can be sent to the examinationcenters within a few minutes.

Exam center superintendents were tracked, asked for pictures on WhatsApp

The board had also kept an eye on the superintendent of the examination. According to the CBSE, the superintendent of the examination centers had to send a Whatsapp message with the pictures for the evidence of opened papers. Moreover, the board tracked the entrance and exit time of the superintendent and also the time of opening the papers.

No more late entries to examination hall allowed by CBSE

Before this year, students were allowed to enter the examination hall by 30 minutes even. But from this year the board has given strict instructions about timings to the examination centers. According to the board, students must be seated on our seat 15 minutes prior i.e. by 10:15 am and if students come early, not a single movement is tolerated by the teachers.

17 links claiming original paper tracked down, FIR lodged

In spiteof all the above CBSE kept tracking the social media i.e. Youtube & Whatsapp and found 17 links to sell the original board papers.

Moreover, CBSE also started a campaign to make students and parents aware of the fake leakage news of question papers.

CBSE saw two paper leaks in 2018 board examination

In 2018, CBSE faced the problem of paper leakage. This news totally decreased the quality of the 2018 CBSE board exams. Along with CBSE class, 12th Economics and class 10th Mathematics paper was also leaked in 2018. The two teachers and one coaching center owner were found guilty in this case and later arrested by the police.
