NCERT books informative but less activity oriented

According to the Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Mr Manish Sisodia said on Tuesday at Delhi that The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) textbooks Fundamentally focus on information, Statistics and Data and very less over practical or activity. Hence the Students needs a lot of revision on the same topic.

The teachers of the Delhi Government schools have critiqued the NCERT books and found it very educational or theoretical. It has been understood by them that the book content is very educative, however, the student needs to do revision work a lot said the Minister after addressing the NCERT meeting headed by Union Minister Mr Prakash Javadekar.

The Education Minister of Delhi said the principal of the NCERT books should not be biased towards any political party and should be more child-centric rather.

He also said, “ A whole lot of issues are there in the NCERT books.what is the motive behind keeping a chapter, what is the dialect and language used?how it been bestowed, a lot of issues being found. The complete country explores the NCERT books”. According to him the NCERT books and the book for further knowledge for the students which are based on it requires a lot if lucidity.

Concurrently, Since the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) was drafted, the NCERT is going to evaluate all its school textbooks after almost a decade.

A month ago the NCERT summon for proposals in order to get opinion, suggestions and also for reactions of states and union territories concerning any authentic or genuine mistake or error in the textbooks, and which demanded a change in the content.
