Impact Of Moderation Policy Over Education Boards

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has been delaying the 12th results for quite a long time. Some students were aware of the reasons behind and some were not. So, to clear it up, the reason behind the delay of results was all because of Moderation Policy.

The Delhi High Court have passed an order to Central Board of Education (CBSE) to follow the policy also for the following year and also the Ministry of Human Resources has asked both the State Board and the CBSE Board to follow the same system so that there would be an equal marking system for the students.

The meeting was held on April 24th of this year with all the senior officials of Human Resources Department (HRD) ministry and also with the secretary education. They came to a decision to remove the moderation policy for this year, but the decision was not supported much since the Exam has already been conducted and the results are waiting to be declared.

And some of the parents filed a complaint against in moderating the results systems. So, the Delhi High Court (HC) have decided to put hold it for one year. Even though some states like Punjab have not listened to the orders of the High Court and released the Results without the moderation policy and have seen the consequences of the Result.

Actually, these policy is that a person can give the students some grace marks over the difficult questions in examinations if the students have answered for it. But because of this system if becomes difficult to identify the good and average students.  So, the number of students can get pass through and they can get qualified to top colleges.

This moderation Policy is more advantageous for the Tamil Nadu students as they can produce more percentile for pass students, and so they agreed with the moderation policy along with Uttarakhand, Goa, Chhattisgarh also agreed.

But Kerala have some struggles over the changes in the moderation policy because they have to wait for the state government orders as they calculate both curricular and co-curricular activities marks for the sessions under 11th.

The state board is holding its decision over this moderation Policy and The CBSE board have done its marks moderation policy soon and so the government is expecting all the other boards to also do that sooner.
