correction     in     name      in                     the documents issued bytheBoard?

AsperRule69.1(ii)oftheExaminationByelawscorrectioninnameto

 

the extentofcorrectioninspellingerrors,factualtypographicalerrors inthe candidate’sname/surname,father’sname/mother’snameor guardian’sname tomake itconsistentwithwhatisgivenintheschool recordorListofCandidate(LoC) submittedbytheschoolis  made. Application  for  correction  in  the  name  of  candidate  /  father’s/ mother’s/guardian’snameisconsidered  onlywithintenyearsofthe date of declaration ofresultprovided theapplication of thecandidateis forwardedbythe HeadofInstitution with thefollowingattested document:

a)  Truecopyofadmissionform(s)filledinbytheparentsatthe timeofadmission,dulyattestedbytheHeadoftheconcerned Institution.

b)  TruecopyoftheSchoolLeavingCertificateoftheprevious schoolsubmittedby theparentsofthecandidateatthetime of admission   duly   attested   by   the   Head   of   the   concerned Institution.

c)  True  copy  of  the  portion  of  the  page  of  admission  and withdrawal  register  of  the  school  where  the  entry  has  been madeinrespectofthecandidate,dulyattestedbytheHeadof the concerned Institution.

ii) TheBoardmayeffectnecessarycorrectionsafterverificationofthe original records ofthe school and on payment ofthe prescribed fee.

correction in dateof birth?

(i)  As  per  Rule  69.2  of  the  Examination  Byelaws  of  the  Board  no

 

changeinthedateofbirthoncerecordedintheBoard'srecordsshallbe made.However,correctionstocorrecttypographicalandothererrorsto


 

 

 

makethecertificateconsistentwith theschoolrecordsismadeprovided

 

thatcorrectionsinthe schoolrecordsshouldnothave beenmade after thesubmissionofapplicationformfor admissionto examinationto the Board.

(ii) Suchcorrectioninthe dateof birthof a candidateincase ofgenuine clericalerrorsismadeafterestablishing thatthewrong entry wasmade erroneouslyinthelistofcandidates/applicationformofthecandidate forthe examination.

(iii)Requestforcorrectionindateofbirthhastobeforwardedbythe

 

Head of theInstitutionalongwith attested photostat copies of : (a) application for admission of the candidateto theschool;

(b)portionofthepageofadmissionandwithdrawalregisterwhere entryin date ofbirth hasbeen made;and

(c)The SchoolLeaving Certificateofthepreviousschoolsubmittedat the timeof admission.

(iv)Theapplicationforcorrectioninthedateofbirth,dulyforwarded by theHeadoftheInstitutionalongwithdocumentsmentionedabove willbeentertainedby theBoardonlywithinfiveyearsofthedateof declarationofresult.Nocorrectionwhatsoevershallbe made on application submitted after thesaid period offiveyears.

Acandidatecanobtainaduplicate/triplicatecertificateonpaymentof

 

theprescribedfeeandsubmissionofanapplicationonaprescribed formintheeventof loss/theft/mutilationof the originalcertificate providedthatanaffidavitisfiledto thateffectbeforeanofficialnot belowtherankofafirstclassMagistrate/Notary PublicoraMemberof theGoverningBody oftheBoard.Furtherthepersonrequestingfor duplicateortriplicatecertificatewouldnotifytheloss/theft/mutilation of thecertificatethrougha pressnote/advertisementinaleading newspaper andshallsubmitthe pressclippingtotheBoard alongwith application and the affidavit.
