1. a) An elastic string of 150mm long has its end attached to the circumference of a circular disc of 40 mm diameter. Draw the curve traced out by the other end of the string when it is completely wound around the disc keeping the string always tight. Name the curve. 

b) Draw the involute to a circle of diameter 30 mm (unwind the string in clockwise direction) 

2. Draw the orthographic projections of following points:

i) Point 'A' 30 mm behind VP and 40 mm above HP.

ii) Point 'B' 50 mm in front of VP and 35 mm above HP

iii) Point 'C' 40 mm below HP and 30 mm behind VP

iv) Point 'D' in HP and 38 mm behind VP 

3. a) A circular plate of 60 mm diameter has its diameter AB is parallel to and SO mm above HP and it is inclined at 4So to VP. Draw the projections of the plate when its plane is inclined at SOo to the HP. 

b) A rectangular lamina of size 30x60 rests on HP on one of its smaller edges. Its plane makes an angle of 4So to HP. Draw its orthographic projections. 

4. a) Construct an isosceles triangle ABC having its perimeter EF=80 mm and its altitude AD=27 mm. 

b) Construct a triangle given the altitude = 30 mm, median from vertex

A=36 mm, median from vertex B=Sml m.
