d) 6 rupees 69 paise = 6 x 100 paise + 69 paise .

g) 24 rupees 6 paise = 24 x 100 paise + 06 paise .
= 2400 + 06
= 2406 paise .

h) rs 0.95 = 0 x 100 paise + 95 paise .
= 0 + 95

Now = 29 rupees 58 paise
= 29 rupees 58 paise( convert into paise )
= 29 x 100 + 58 paise
= 2900 + 58 = 2958 paise …..(2) step
Now add = (1) + (2)
= 1836 + 2958 paise ( add in rough column )
= 4794 paise .

Subtract the following amounts by converting into paise –
Q1) 19 rupees 85 paise from 37 rupees 40 paise--
= 19 rupees 85 paise ( convert into paise )
= 19 x 100 + 85 paise
= 1900 + 85 = 1985 paise …..(1) step
Now = 37 rupees 40 paise
= 37 rupees 40 paise( convert into paise )
= 37 x 100 + 40 paise
= 3700 + 40 = 3740 paise …..(2) step
Now Subtract = (2) – ( 1)
= 3740 – 1985 paise ( Subtract in rough column )
= 1755 paise .

2. What will be cost of shoes, christmas hat and jacket?

Answer:
1. Cost of baseball hat, scarf, and socks:
Rs. 575 + Rs. 600 + Rs. 125 = Rs. 1300
2. Cost of shoes, Christmas hat, and jacket:
Rs. 780 + Rs. 250 + Rs. 2250 = Rs. 3280
3. We will buy the items in question (1). Their total cost is Rs. 1300. This is less than Rs. 3000. The items in question (2) cost Rs. 3280. That is more than we are allowed to spend.

In simple words: We can only spend Rs. 3000. The first group of clothes costs Rs. 1300, so we can buy them. The second group costs too much.
