LOGO Calculations
You can also solve Math problems using LOGO primitives. Math problems such as those relating to addition, multiplication, division and subtraction can be easily worked out.

PRINT COMMAND
The PRINT (PR) command is used to display something on the screen. This command can also be used to do mathematical calculations. Let us understand how this command is used.

Addition of Numbers
The plus (+) sign is used to add numbers. For example, if you want to add 2 and 5, then type PR numbers.PR 2+5
You can add more than two numbers such as PR 2+3+4.Another way of adding number is to use the SUM function. For example, if you type PR SUM 249, the result is as shown in figure.

But you get the sum of only the first two numbers (i.e 2+4=6) and an error message is displayed “you don’t say what to do with 9”.
Here, if you are adding more than two numbers then put all the numbers inside brackets. Also, write the command (Sum) after PR within the same brackets containing the figures to be added. For example, see the following figure:

Subtraction of Numbers
The minus (-) sign is used to subtract numbers. For example, PR 5-3 You can also use the DIFFERENCE function to subtract numbers. For example, PR DIFFRENCE 8 4

COOL TIP
The DIFFERENCE function subtracts the second number form the first number. So, if the first number is smaller than the second number, we will get negative number as the answer.

Multiplication of Numbers
The *sign is used to multiply numbers. For example, if you want to multiply 7 and 7 then.
PR7*7
You can also use the PRODACT function to multiply numbers. For example, PR product 3 4
If you want to multiply more than two numbers, then you must write it as PR (Product 2 3 4).

Division of Numbers
The /sign is used to divide two numbers. For example, PR 8/4.You can also use QUOTIENT function to divide two numbers. For example, PR quotient 25 5.

LABEL COMMAND
The Label command is used to display the text or number in the drawing area. Here, you can also use this command for doing mathematical calculations and displaying the result on the screen.

For example, with LABEL 10+10, you get 20 printed on the screen. Similarly, you can also perform other calculations such as LABEL 5*5, LABEL 20 -10 etc.
