कवि ने 'अग्नि पथ' का प्रयोग मानव जीवन में आने वाली कठिनाइयों के प्रतीक स्वरूप किया है। यह जीवन संघर्षमय है फिर भी इस पर सबको चलना ही पड़ता है और कठिनाइयों का सामना करना पड़ता है। कवि का मानना है कि यह जीवन कठिनाइयों, चुनौतियों और संकटों से भरा है।
(ख) 'माँग मत', 'कर शपथ', इन शब्दों का बार-बार प्रयोग कर कवि क्या कहना चाहता है?

कवि ने इन शब्दों का बार-बार प्रयोग करके जीवन की कठिनाइयों को सहते हुए आगे बढ़ने की प्रेरणा दी है। कवि का कहना है कि इस मुश्किल भरे रास्ते से घबराकर रास्ता नहीं छोड़ना चाहिए, घबराकर हार नहीं माननी चाहिए। इसी प्रेरणा को देने के लिए कवि ने इस शब्द का बार-बार प्रयोग किया है।

'एक पत्र छाह भी माँग मत' − पंक्ति का आशय है कि मनुष्य अपनी प्रकृति के अनुसार माँगने लगता है और अपनी परिस्थितियों से घबराकर दूसरों की सहायता माँगने लगता है। इससे उसका आत्मविश्वास कम होने लगता है। इसलिए अपनी कठिनाइयों का सामना स्वयं ही करना चाहिए। यदि थोड़ा भी आश्रय मिल जाए तो उसकी अवहेलना न करके धन्य मानना चाहिए।
