उत्तर
चिड़िया को अन्न से, जंगल से और जिस नदी से वह ठंडा और मीठा पानी पीती है उससे प्यार है।
4. कवि ने चिड़िया को छोटी, संतोषी, मुँह बोली, गरबीली चिड़िया क्यों कहा है?
उत्तर
चिड़िया आकार में छोटी है इसलिए कवि ने उसे छोटी कहा है। वह अन्न के दाने में ही संतुष्ट है इसलिए उसे संतोषी बताया गया है। वह सारी बातों को बोल देती है इसलिए उसे मुँह बोली कहा है। वह छोटी होते हुए भी नदी से पानी पीने का साहसी काम करती है इसलिए गरबीली चिड़िया कहा गया है।

(क) रस उँडेल कर गा लेती है

चिड़िया जब खुश होकर गाने लगती है तब ऐसा लगता है मानो उसने अपना सारा रस उस गाने में उड़ेल दिया है।
