The author Sharifa Vijliwala has portrayed how her mother endured many struggles to raise her family. Here, her "mother" is at the center.

The relationship between mother and daughter has differences in opinion, but not in heart. There is a generation gap, between educated and uneducated. Yet, there is no bitterness in it. Despite such poverty and struggle, her mother and father showed interest in educating their children.

Due to Sharifa's nature, sparks often fly between the mother and daughter, but they eventually extinguish. Over time, this changed. Sharifa admits that today her mother has become her closest friend.

Despite this, innocent mother still has permanent questions about her daughter's life and work. And this daughter, Sharifa, who used to answer back as a child, admits today that she has no answer that can be made to understand her mother.
