Answer: There is a bank in our neighbourhood. Banks in India come under either the central government or the state governments. Banks are found in every part of India, even in villages and rural areas. All of us benefit from the presence of banks, whatever our professions and crafts. Industrialists in cities and farmers in villages and rural areas benefit from them. Banks serve their customers, the general public, in many ways, including savings accounts, current accounts and fixed deposit accounts. They also provide financial help and loans to farmers and owners of large and small industries at nominal interest, and thus banks play a constructive role in the development of the country.
Teacher's Note:
a) Keep banking terms accurate: savings account, current account, fixed deposit.
b) Highlight the closing idea that banks help national development.
