Important announcement regarding rescheduling of Class 10 and 12 Board Exams

New Delhi, CBSE Board 2020: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on last Week declared a comprehensive circular regarding the rescheduling of CBSE Board Exams 2020 and upgrading the students of classes I to VIII to the next academic session without any examination. CBSE made announcement through a circular, stating that it will give notice of at least 10 days to all stakeholders before reinitiating the process of board examinations.

Significant message regarding CBSE Board 2020 reviewed exam dates:

"With regard to rescheduling board examinations for classes 10 and 12, it is informed that at this stage it is difficult for the Board to decide and announce the new schedule for examinations."

A circular issued by CBSE states that, "However, it is informed that any decision that the board will take with regard to the conduct of examinations will be taken by undertaking extensive consultation with higher education authorities and by keeping all aspects related to entrance exams, admissions dates, etc. in mind. In this context, it is further informed that the Board will give notice of about 10 days to all stakeholders before starting the Board examinations."

In this current year, the CBSE Class XII and Class X Board Exams 2020 were shifted forward due to the Coronavirus outbreak in India.

Moving further, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) stated that it is challenging for the board to fix and declare the new schedule for Class X and Class XII Examinations. Most likely the board will announce the new CBSE Class X and Class XII board examination schedule only after the completion of 21-day lockdown.

All the students appearing for CBSE Class X and CBSE Class XII Board Examination in the country are requested to keep checking the official website of the board (cbse.nic.in) for the most recent updates on the rescheduled examination dates.

Postponing CBSE Board Exams 2020 in Northeast Delhi:

On 9th March 2020, the board declared the new examination schedule of standard X and XII exams which were postponed in Northeast Delhi due to the recent violence. Keeping in mind the law and order situation in North East Delhi District the board was unable to conduct board exams on four (4) examination days, whereas few of the candidates from within and around the District were unable to appear in the exams on 6 examination days.

According to the circular issued by CBSE, the board was not able to conduct exams on 8 examination days because of the Covid-19 pandemic circumstances.

CBSE to Re-schedule Board Exams for 29 Subjects only:

Moving further, CBSE has briefed that the board will carry out examinations for only main subjects that will be needed for promotion and essential for admissions in higher educational institutions.

On that account, whenever possible, the board will hold the board examinations only for the following 29 Subjects:

CBSE X, XII Results 2020: Projected Result Dates:

As per the experts, more likely the CBSE Class X and Class XII board results 2020 will be announced by the end of May only if the board examinations are concluded in the month of April. Post announcement of the CBSE Class XII Board Result 2020 and CBSE Class X Board Result 2020, all the aspiring students can verify their marks at the official websites cbse.nic.in and cbseresults.nic.in.

CBSE Board Exam 2020 assessment of answer sheets:

As a result of the 21 days Corona Virus Lockdown in India, the board has not been able to conduct its evaluation process. The CBSE definitely will emerge with a solution for taking ahead the evaluating process in these new & unpredictable circumstances.
