CBSE schools to participate in National Assessment for Scientific Temperament and Aptitude

According to the latest reports, CBSE has asked all its affiliated schools to encourage and motivate the students to participate in a national assessment programme which is intended to test students scientific temperament and aptitude. The assessment is a key component of all the education system because it helps students to learn. When students can see how they are performing in a class, they can also determine whether or not they can understand the course material.

Besides this, assessment is also a segment of knowledge and Awareness Mapping Platform which is designed by the department of science and industrial research Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-National Institute of Science, Technology and Development Studies (CSIR-NISTADS).

The programme will assess the student’s knowledge of various subjects. The programme was launched in April this year only and is based on the algorithm developed by CSIR-NISTADS. The major aim of the programme is to promote science awareness and technology among talented students. The program is for students from 5th to 12th grade based on their areas of talent and strength.

The results of the KAM-National Evaluation for KAMP-Scientific Temperament and Aptitude (KAMP-NASTA) will also provide a wider output to participating students and teachers, school and parents. The objective of the assessment is to distinguish and Capture Scientific and Technological temperament in students to make India Global Leader in the Field of Science, Technology and Humanities.

Also, students may download NCERT Solutions for Class 8 and refer them while preparing for the CBSE board exam.

KAMP-NASTA is for students in classes 5 to 10 in CBSE or any other board of Education affiliated schools. The affiliated schools that are interested in the assessment can enrol online through KAMP website http://www.kamp.res.in. Each participating student will have to pay Rs 400 as a registration fee to their respective school. The preparation tips, sample questions, examination guidelines and, assessment pattern details will be given online to the students.

Besides this, the syllabus and scheme of examination for KAMP-NASTA are also available online on the official website. The results will be posted to schools and are also available online on the official website of KAMP-NASTA. All the participants will receive an assessment report along with an advisory report. After the assessment, National level, State level, and District level awards will be announced.
