The CBSE-i curriculum

The   CBSE-i  curriculum  was initiated as a pilot project in the session 2010-11.  In the course of time, several   issues  relating to operational  difficulties,  including availability  of quality  reading  material  of global standard, were noticed . In the light of this, the matter of continuity of CBSE-i curriculum as  pilot project  was taken  up for a detailed  discussion    in the meeting  of the Curriculum  Committee  held  in December  2016.  Subsequently,  the  decision  of  the  Curriculum  Committee  was  also  discussed  in the meeting of the Governing Body of the Board. It was resolved to have a comprehensive review of the pilot project of CBSE-i curriculum  by a Government  Consultancy  Organisation.  This being the position, the schools  presently  offering  CBSE-i  curriculum  (or   intending to offer the CBSE-i  curriculum  from the session 2017-18 ) may carefully note the following decision for strict compliance:

CBSE    affiliated    schools,    located    abroad, having approval for CBSE-i curriculum and    offering CBSE-i curriculum in their campus for    the approved   CBSE-i curriculum   classes on pilot basis.                                                                 

 

They  are  directed  not  to  offer  CBSE- i  curriculum henceforth  from the session  2017-18. Consequently, affected students of such schools on their promotion to next class (after the end of existing term) would be shifted to CBSE main curriculum

 

The  schools  located  abroad  but  not  affiliated with   the   CBSE   but   approved   for   offering CBSE-i   Curriculum   on  pilot   basis   for   the    approved CBSE-i curriculum classes

 

The permission to implement CBSE-i curriculum. Stands withdrawn i.e.  2017-18.    The schools are directed not to use the name and logo of CBSE in any form. However, they are at liberty to seek regular CBSE affiliation for offering   CBSE main curriculum.
