Ans. The light from the stars reach us after passing through the many layers of the atmosphere. As the light passes through these layers it is interrupted many times by the particles present in the atmosphere. Thus it blinks.
Question. How is meteor formed?
Ans. A meteor is a small rocky or metallic body in outer space. which are typically formed from extraterrestrial igneous activity; Meteors burn out, but some are quite large and fall on Earth’s surface ,creating a hole or a crater .
Question. What are periodical comets? Give an example.
Ans. A periodic comet is a comet which orbits around the Sun. A short-period comet will complete its orbit in less than 200 years. A long-period comet will take more than 200 years. Example- there are nine Shoemaker-Levy comets and twenty-four Neat comets.
Question. Why is there no life on the Moon?
Ans. Life on the moon is not possible as on the earth because of many reasons.
