Question 1. તમારા ઘર અથવા શાળામાંથી કોઈ પણ ચાર સંમિત વસ્તુઓની યાદી બનાવો.
Answer: ઘરમાં સંમિત વસ્તુઓ: થાળી, વાટકી, ટેબલ, પંખો, કાતર, વિદ્યુતગોળો, પ્યાલો. શાળામાં સંમિત વસ્તુઓ: બ્લેકબોર્ડ, ઘડિયાળ, પુસ્તક, નોટબુક, બારણું. આ બધી વસ્તુઓ સંમિત હોય છે.
In simple words: Write down four things from your house or school that look the same on both sides if you cut them down the middle.

Exam Tip: When listing symmetric objects, try to visualize them and mentally draw a line of symmetry through them. If both sides match, it's symmetric.

 

Question 2. બાજુની આકૃતિમાં રેખા I અને I₂ માંથી કઈ રેખા અરીસાની રેખા છે?
Answer: બાજુમાં આપવામાં આવેલી આકૃતિમાં, રેખા I₂ એ અરીસાની રેખા છે.
In simple words: Look at the picture. Line I₂ acts like a mirror because the shape is the same on both sides of it.

Exam Tip: A mirror line (or line of symmetry) divides a figure into two identical halves, such that if you fold the figure along that line, the two halves perfectly overlap.

In simple words: For each picture, check if it can be folded in half so both sides match. If yes, it's symmetric, and we draw the fold line. If not, it's not symmetric.

Question 4. નીચેની આકૃતિઓની ચોરસ ખાનાંવાળા કાગળ પર નકલ કરો. આવું ચોરસ ખાનાંવાળું કાગળ તમે શરૂઆતનાં વર્ષોમાં તમારી અંકગણિતની નોટબુકમાં વાપર્યું હશે. પછી આ આકૃતિઓને એવી રીતે પૂરી કરો કે જેથી તેમાં દોરેલ તૂટક રેખા, તે આકૃતિની સંમિતિની રેખા બને:
