Classification of Natural Numbers
I) Natural numbers are divided into three groups:-
i) Unit:-1 is the only unit in natural numbers.
ii) Prime:-A natural number “a” is said to be Prime if it is divisible by 1 and ‘”a” itself.
For example 2,3,5,7,11,13,17,19,23,29,31,… are all prime numbers.
Observations:-The set of primes is infinite.2 is the least and only even prime number.
iii)Composite:-A natural number “a “is said to be Composite if it has atleast one more divisor except 1 and ‘a’ itself.
For example 4,6,8,9,10,12,14,…are all composite numbers.
