Basic Information on JEE (Main) Examination System

In order to get Admission  to Undergraduate  Engineering  Programs  at various well recognized engineering colleges like NITs,  IIITs,  Other  Centrally  Funded  Technical Institutions,  Institutions  funded by participating  State  Governments,  and other  Institutions  students have to get good marks in their class 12 or equivalent qualifying Examination  and also in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main). After qualifying JEE (Main) examinations candidates can appear in JEE (Advanced) examination which will give change to the candidates to take up undergraduate programs offered by IITs in India.

 

If the candidates are able to The Paper-1 (B. E./B. Tech.) of JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced). which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programs offered by the IITs.

 

States of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Nagaland and Odisha have opted for JEE (Main) examination system to give admissions to students who want to do engineering from the colleges under their administration like MITs, IIITs and other engineering colleges. The candidates looking for admission to the institutions in these states have to mandatorily fill up the JEE (Main) application forms and sit in the examinations to be able to get admission in these colleges.
