नोट-चूँकि आपकी पांचवीं बोर्ड परीक्षा 2017 में Personal Pronoun (व्यक्तिवाचक सर्वनाम) पर प्रश्न पूछे हैं तथा आपकी पाठ्यपुस्तक में Emphatic Pronoun (दृढ़तावाचक सर्वनाम) ही दिये हैं, अतः यहाँ भी केवल इन्हें ही समझाया जा रहा है।

Personal Pronoun व्यक्तिवाचक सर्वनाम

इसमें तीन Person होते हैं –

• 1. First Person (वक्ता अर्थात् बोलने वाला)
• 2. Second Person (श्रोता अर्थात् सुनने वाला)
• 3. Third Person (वह व्यक्ति, स्थान या वस्तु, जिसके बारे में बोला जा रहा है।)

 

ध्यान रखें, personal Pronouns का number (वचन), person तथा gender (लिंग) उस Noun के number, person तथा gender के अनुसार ही होना चाहिए जिस noun के स्थान पर इस pronoun का प्रयोग क्रिया जा रहा है।

Golden Rule

1. Pronoun gerenciar -self अथवा –selves जोड़ने से Emphasizing अथवा Emphatic Pronoun बनते हैं।

2. I, we, you..... की II Form/possessive case (my, our, your) के साथ –self अथवा –selves का प्रयोग करते हैं।

3. He, she, they की III Form/objective case (him, her, them). के साथ –self अथवा –selves का प्रयोग करते हैं।

Singular Noun के लिए यदि व्यक्ति हो तो himself/herself का प्रयोग करो। जैसे
Ram himself invited me.
Sita herself cooked food.

Singular Noun यदि पशु अथवा वस्तु हो तो itself का प्रयोग करो, जैसे –
The dog itself killed the rat.
The book itself explain it.

Plural Noun के लिए (चाहे व्यक्ति हो अथवा पशु हो अथवा वस्तु हो) themselves का प्रयोग करो, जैसे –
The students themselves solved it. (व्यक्ति)
The horses themselves ran away. (पशु)
The chairs themselves fell down. (वस्तु)
